Online file storage space is generally accessed by FTP, a protocol widely used in internet file transfer. Virtually every operating system supports the FTP protocol either natively or with the use of client software.
What about file access control and security?
Elix can accomodate various special permissions via FTP. For example, you can have a user only with permissions to write files. Combinations of permissions can be applied to individual files and folders. It's your call. If you wish, you can have a folder in your online file storage space serve as an HTTP web root, for public file sharing. Of course, at Elix, it's your call. We configure the system just the way you want it.
